I had to call Comcast again last night. We've only been customers since August 2008. So far the equipment total is 2 modems, 2 remotes, and we'll be getting our 4th cable box today. We don't do anything out of the ordinary with this equipment. The cable boxes just sit under the TV like I'm sure they do in almost every house.
