Yesterday, mid-afternoon, my worst fears seemed to be coming true. Of all the names that were coming out as possible Pete Carroll replacements at USC, John Gruden was the one that scared me the most. He seems like a Pete Carroll type coach, except he had success in the NFL, even winning a Super Bowl.
