I may not be a constant commenter on her blog but I take time to read her posts. After being married for more than 6 years, the author and her husband decided that they are now ready to have children. After trying for several months with no results, she decided to consult a doctor to do some tests. The result came and it showed that she’s fertile. I was there to read about her post on her IVF journey in Singapore. In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a process by which egg cells are fertilised by sperm outside the womb, in vitro. IVF is a major treatment in infertility when other methods of assisted reproductive technology have failed. The process involves hormonally controlling the ovulatory process, removing ova (eggs) from the woman’s ovaries and letting sperm fertilise them in a fluid medium. The fertilised egg (zygote) is then transferred to the patient’s uterus with the intent to establish a successful pregnancy. view page
